Courses
Beta V Corporation is chartered to provide a focused set of
books and courseware designed to keep developers up to speed on the latest,
most efficient, and "best practices" data access technology. See
our new course catalog
for a complete descriptions of our offerings. You'll need the
Adobe Reader 5.0 or later to read it. Now that the NDAs have been
lifted, Beta V is ready to provide in-depth courseware on Whidbey and Yukon (Visual Studio
2005 and SQL Server 2005) functionality. We also have developed courseware on
SQL Server Reporting Services as well.

Live In-Person
- For Live In-Person
courses, your company pays the course
fee, travel, and accommodation expenses for the trainer. The course
fee can include a bound student guide that contains the slides and supplementary
notes. It's best to arrange for courses at least 90 days ahead of time as the
schedule tends to fill fairly quickly. Contact us
for prices and scheduling.

Live Online
- Beta V also offers Live Online courses using
Net Meeting.
- William Vaughn also created a number of online presentations while he was at Microsoft.
A link to the only remaining session is included below. This session provides a way
to hear a popular technical talk and see the slides as the talk progresses. It's
not the same as a live presentation, but you don't have to sit on a cramped
airline seat to hear them--and they're free. Building Successful SQL Server applications with VB

Using Net Meeting
- You or your company can arrange to have any of the courses (except where
noted) delivered via Microsoft Net Meeting™. Many larger companies have had a
great deal of success with this technology. Basically, Beta V and your site
set up one or more Net Meeting connections. This permits your company's
developers to hear and view a live presentation including live,
interactive demonstrations. Students also get to ask questions in real time
through a company-provided coordinator who aggregates and passes the questions
on to the instructor. The costs associated with this technology are far lower
and can be more easily arranged than in-person training sessions.
- NetMeeting courses are far easier to arrange as Bill can work these
into his schedule with far more flexibility. All you need is a PC
connected to the Web or even a video projector-based classroom if you
want your whole team to view the presentation.
